Edwin S Porter

A lui si deve il primo film popolare, "The great train robbery" (1903). Il gusto per i trucchi ed effetti è visibile in "Dream of a rarebit fiend" (1906), quello per i trucchi spettacolari in "Rescue from an eagle's nest" (1907). Tra gli altri films: The prisoner of Zenda (1913), Tess of the Storm country (1914), The dictator (1915).
